Operated by the Joint Oceanographic Institutions (JOI) (partnership led by the WHOI, and includes Scripps Institution of Oceanography at the University of California, San Diego, and Oregon State University’s College of Oceanic and Atmospheric Sciences).

Uses old AT&T HAW-2 telecommunications cable
Derives 400 watts of power from the cable for scientific instruments
Instruments connected to the junction box using a remotely-operated vehicle wet-mateable connectors.
